In Journalism , I learned different aspects and ways of writing , ethics , and doing interviews .
Ethics ~ In Ethics , I came to learn that journalists can have their opinions turned against them harmfully , swiftly , or even gleefully if they project a journalistic sin . In this case , journalists should make sure they have ALL information - - but also be sure that it's very accurate information . Before publishing a wrongdoing of a certain subject , they must seek out the person or person(s) before accusing them of any mishap . Remember to question the source before making any promises of being anonymous and be aware of any conditions before exchanging any sort of information .
Writing ~ Even in interviewing , it is seemingly simple . Pull out your pen , a notepad and jot down all information . When done , type it out . Writing is very simple , but I also learned you must write down good questions to ask , and you must write in a very precise manner . Also , you must observe a lot , interpret , and make sure you get down everything in a certain amount of time . But it's easy if your work is well organized and you know how to break it down correctly .
Interviews ~ Interviews can come in various sorts . They can be five minutes long or just a mere 10 seconds . They can be done by notepad , or tape recorder . But in all , it's a thrilling way to get to know people . There also has to be a certain way you interview a source . You have to be friendly but aggressive , very sincere but a little skeptical , and pay very close attention .
With these helpful tips , your on the verge of becoming a great journalist .
